Home Improvements Too Expensive?


From 1st September 2020, the government is providing vouchers up to £10,000 as part of the Green Homes Grant scheme.
So long as you live in England you can benefit from a total fund of £2 billion... so there's not time to waste! Select Renewables can assist you in claiming a voucher from the Green Homes Grant Scheme, and we can install many of the qualifying home improvements too.‍ ‍ ‍

You must redeem the voucher and ensure improvements are completed by 31 March 2021.


Which Home Improvements does the Green Homes Grant cover?

  • Loft insulation‍
  • Room in roof insulation‍
  • Energy-efficient doors‍
  • Solid wall insulation‍ Insulation

Also, if you receive one of the following you may qualify:

• Income-based Jobseekers allowance (JSA)
• Income-based Employment & Support Allowance (ESA)
• Income Support (IS)
• Pension Guarantee Credit
• Working Tax Credit (WTC)
• Child Tax Credits (CTC)
• Universal Credit (UC)
• Disability Living Allowance (DLA)
• Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
• Attendance Allowance
• Carer’s Allowance
• Severe Disablement Allowance
• Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit
• Contribution-based Jobseekers allowance (JSA)
• Contribution-based Employment & Support Allowance (ESA)
• Housing benefit

Anyone else not receiving benefits is entitled to up to £5,000 in support, or two thirds of the upgrade total cost.


Can Landlords Apply?‍

Yes, landlords can claim. The National Residential Landlords Association encourages landlords
to make full use of the funds available, to improve energy efficiency.

Do I need to be a Home Owner?‍

The Green Homes Grant is strictly for homeowners.But perhaps your landlord isn't aware of the scheme?
It might be worth your while getting in touch and asking them.
